Hi, my name is Meghan and I am a freshman at the University of New England. I have called Newburyport, Massachusetts home my entire life. My interests include a variety of things. I have played sports all of my life and can not imagine growing up any other way. The two sports I spend most of my time doing are softball and gymnastics. I also love to watch sports games, my favorite sport to watch is hockey by far but I also love watching football. Growing up my family and I spent most summers camping in Maine. This led me to love the outdoors and always wanting to be outside, no matter the New England season. My family instilled in me at a young age how important education is. I have always been a science and math student. In school I have always had to push myself to work harder in English and writing because these particular subjects never came easy to me. I am also the oldest of four children. Growing up I always wanted to help my parents take care of my younger siblings, so from a young age I knew I wanted to go into the medical field. I discovered Occupational Therapy in eighth grade and from that day on I knew that one day I wanted to become an Occupational Therapist. My major is Health, Wellnesss, and Occupational Studies, which is the undergraduate degree for Occupational Therapy at UNE. I am in a four plus two program at UNE to get my masters in Occupational Therapy. With my degree I would ideally like to work with kids with disabilities. I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about me, thanks for reading!
